Luke is awarded Learner of the Year at FAB Awards Evening

On the 18th October Luke was invited to attend the Federation of Awarding Bodies Awards evening in Leicester as he was nominated for 'Learner of the Year Award' because of his learner journey with Sports Leaders UK.

The Awards winners were announced at the annual awards dinner held during the FAB 2018 Conference, Awards and Exhibition, which brought together over 450 awarding and assessment professionals.

This award recognises the outstanding achievement of an individual learner. The learner must have achieved a professional/technical qualification from a FAB full member organisation within the last two years. The learner must have demonstrated an enthusiasm for learning and have developed a high level of understanding and skill in their industry.

Luke was extremely shocked when his name was announced as the Winner of the Learner of the Year Award. Talking about his award Luke said:

"Words can't describe how shocked I was when my name was read out at the Awards Evening. It was an honour just be in attendance at such a brilliant event but to have won the award truly does mean the world to me and I am ever so grateful. Without Sports Leaders UK providing me with so many amazing learning opportunities and the support from Mark Howells and Richard Norman then achieving this award would not have been possible."
